We LOVE our clients! They are our muses everyday in the studio and the reason we love doing what we do. Once in a while we get a client testimonial that blows us away! Here is one of our recent favorite testimonials. If you are thinking about doing a boudoir photo shoot, but are not 100% sure, read this!

"I have been thinking of doing a boudoir photo session for years and kept on putting it off thinking if I could just lose a few more pounds, get a tan, just excuses really...  This year at my birthday reality finally hit me, I will never look better than I look today and it is good enough! I was finally doing it as a birthday gift to myself, for myself and if my husband enjoys it that's just a bonus, but this is for ME.

I researched photographers, poses, outfits, prices.  I contacted at least 6 different studios and actually met with 3 photographers, but the minute I met Cherie and saw the work that she and Hedley do I couldn't stop thinking about it.

The books / boxes they do are the most beautiful works of art I have ever seen, they are nothing like the photo books most others offer. The artwork, quality, glossy finish, and the presentation are absolutely gorgeous, classy & elegant.

Cherie was very accommodating, creating a package just for me that included a book and a CD with all the photos. She send me a whole list of things to do before the session and it really helped.  I had a great time shopping at the store she recommended.

When the day finally arrived, I was super nervous.  I just wanted it to be perfect. and it was. Virginia did my make-up and hair and she is a doll, very sweet, helpful, she even helped me get dressed and stayed in studio the whole afternoon.

Cherie and Hedley both took photos of me using at least 3 or 4 different cameras. Very professional, making me feel comfortable and safe and encouraging the "real me" to come out.

They were absolutely amazing, I think having 2 photographers getting different perspectives of the same pose was an absolute bonus. Time flew by, no one paid attention to the clock, they were just determined to get the best photos of me and I loved it.

The very next day, my CD was ready and it had over 500 photos!!! I am absolutely amazed at how HOT, SEXY, and GORGEOUS these photos are!  My ego is soaring! LOL. I now have the very difficult task of picking the photos I want in my book and that is going to be very difficult, I want them ALL!

Cherie & Hedley, thank you for capturing on film a part of me that few have ever seen but I will now have forever in a gorgeous book for my husband and me to enjoy!!!"

Thank YOU for the amazing testimonial and to ALL of our beautiful clients!!

xoxo,

Valentine’s Day may have passed, but you can ALWAYS “spice things up for your man”! Check out this article from California Wedding Day magazine featuring yours truly at The Boudoir Café.  In the article, we offer a few tips on how to keep it sexy, classy, and catered to just what your partner loves about you. For example, before a boudoir photo shoot, think about what is unique to you and your partner. Are you music lovers? Or is your partner a musician? Bring in some of your favorite sheet music and we will work it into your sexy photos to create a very personal touch. We love when our girls get super excited about their shoots and put some thought into what will make it extra special.

With summer just around the corner, we’d love to see all of your beautiful faces at The Boudoir Café for a sexy photo shoot. Give us a call or shoot us an email and let’s make it happen!

XOXO,

CherieFoto

Ah, the holidays. A time to feel jolly and to spread good cheer. Right…? Or are you like most people and just the word “holidays” creates instant anxiety?  Well, at The Boudoir Café, we have a degree in “sexy” and we are here to share some of our knowledge. Here are a few tips to keep the stress low and the sexiness high this holiday.

Have Some You Time
It can be hard to find some alone time with a house full of relatives and overactive children. We get it. But just 20-30 minutes a day to yourself can do you a world of good. Whether you use that time to read, write, sit quietly, meditate, exercise, or whatever else you do to relieve stress, make sure you are alone without interruptions.

Have Some You Two Time
Don’t forget about that special person. I know, for me, when I get around my family, I tend to make ample “sisters time” leaving my husband to fend for himself for most of the holidays.  It’s important to spend time with those relatives that you don’t get to see often, but make sure you put some time aside for just the two of you to regroup and spend some alone time together.

Don’t Overindulge & Stay Healthy
But it’s the holidays! There is a reason they call this “flu season”, because people tend to overindulge and to not take care of themselves. You will get sick, and there is nothing sexy about that.  Enjoy the holiday food and wine, but try to keep an eye out on your portions. Maybe you indulge just one meal a day instead of having Thanksgiving leftovers for breakfast, lunch, anddinner. And don’t ditch that exercise routine! Your busy schedule may cut your workouts short, but make sure to sweat it out at least once a day. It’s also a great time of year to get back on those multi-vitamins.

Laugh, Smile, and Be Grateful
It’s the holidays for goodness sake! If you are fortunate enough to be surrounded by the people you love and who mean the most to you, don’t forget to put all the stress aside and laugh without restraint, smile without reason, and be grateful for this moment.  Nothing is sexier than a genuine smile. Trust us, we have a degree in this stuff.

We would love to hear your tips on how you stay stress-free during the holidays. Share in the comments section below!

We’ve all tried to mimic Giselle in a sexy selfie with (but more likely, without) success. For me, I hear Tyra Banks in my head, “elongate the neck and smize (smile with your eyes)!” But, let’s be honest, posing sexy is much more difficult than it sounds. If you have expert photographers like Cherie and Hedley at The Boudoir Café working with you, they should be able to direct you during your boudoir photo shoot, show you examples of poses, and inspire your inner Victoria’s Secret model!

Here are a few tips I have learned about posing from working with The Boudoir Café:

Create Curves:

Ladies, embrace your curves and make them work for you! Some women are naturally very curvy, others have to work a bit harder to create that accentuated hourglass figure. Arching your back while holding in your stomach will make your booty look curvier and your waist smaller!

Angles are Your Friend:

Not just curves, but angles create a much more interesting and sexy composition. Create angles with your legs and your arms. For example, gently caress your face, hair, neckline and chest to create natural looking angles with your arms.

Think Sexy:

The eyes can be the sexiest part of a boudoir photograph. To achieve those “bedroom” eyes, think about seducing that special person in your life. Keep the face relaxed and try to open the mouth just a little bit to relieve any tension. Now, play with the camera and give it a smize that Tyra Banks would be proud of!

Knees Together:

When trying to keep it classy, create a sexy boudoir photograph without showing too much of the goods. As a rule of thumb, try to keep the knees close together (but, not necessarily touching) while posing.  This not only creates angles, but also reads as “sophisticated sexy” instead of Playboy

Have Fun!:

Turn up the music, pour some champagne, and let loose! Dance, move, awaken your inner super model! The more natural you look in your sexy photos, the better.

Any other suggestions? We would love to hear from you! Leave some of your tips in the comments section below.
